Recently, I gave this blog a facelift. After hours of thinking and tweaking with the design, I picked something minimalist and clean then spent several more hours designing the logo to match. Clean, simple, and modern.
I’m no graphic artist, but in my untrained eye that’s the look I went for and successfully achieved.
Now I have a problem: I hate it.
It’s not bad – if it weren’t for my personal blog, it would be nice. The issue is that the design doesn’t fit me and my personality at all. I get the same sensation looking at my blog as I do when I see a wax figure; it’s wrong. It’s sanitary. Fake. And that makes it ugly. I focused so much on making it pretty, I totally forgot to put some of myself in it.
So, another overhaul is in order and will be coming soon! It won’t be as pretty but, simply put, IDGAF.
via IFTTT Finally made it to the upper falls of Adams Canyon, something I’ve never gotten around to doing even though it’s only a short drive from where I live, and dragged my brother along for the ride. It was more difficult than I expected but I’m sure that was just because of how out of shape I am.
via IFTTT The first iteration of my SUV camper setup in our 2006 Ford Explorer, aka the “Space Shuttle.” The “conversion” is meant to be temporary because not only do we sometimes need it to be a regular SUV but we also haven’t fully committed to keeping it.
Future plans include not only making some window coverings but also building a platform with storage compartments that will allow for a larger bed to sleep more than one. Probably a smaller cooler, too… 77 qts is a bit overkill for my needs, though I’ve discovered that it doubles as a pretty good desk for editing these videos and whatnot.
